01 / Cultivation & strains
Sativa
A cannabis type historically classed as tall, narrow-leaf and equatorial.
02 / Definition
What is Sativa?
Sativa refers to a traditional grouping of cannabis plants that tend to grow tall with narrow leaves and longer flowering times, originally from warmer equatorial regions. In everyday shop language, “sativa” is often used as a shorthand label for a strain’s expected character, though modern genetics are almost all hybrids. Chemistry (cannabinoid and terpene profile) is a more reliable guide than the sativa/indica label alone.
