Free on qualifying orders over R500. Otherwise delivery is calculated at checkout based on destination and weight — typically R65–R120.

Cape Town courier-pickups happen Saturday morning via The Courier Guy. Joburg + Durban + outlying areas are Monday–Friday only.

SAHPRA Section 21 allows patient-specific authorisation of medicines not yet registered in South Africa. Medical cannabis (Schedule 6 flower, Schedule 5 oils) is dispensed under this pathway. Each authorisation is patient-specific and valid for 6 months.

The Medicines and Related Substances Act (101 of 1965) requires Schedule 5, 6 and Section 21 medicines to be dispensed only after a clinical assessment. A HPCSA-registered reviewer screens every Rx order before we release it for dispatch.

Standard SA workplace drug tests look for THC metabolites, not CBD. Schedule-0 CBD products (THC < 0.001%) should not trigger a positive. Full-spectrum oils and any medical cannabis WILL trigger positive — disclose your Rx if your employer requires.

CBD (cannabidiol) is non-psychoactive — no high, no intoxication. Legal as a Schedule-0 OTC consumer product. THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is psychoactive — produces a high, is Schedule-6 in flower form, and requires a Section 21 prescription.

Sublingual oil: 15–45 minutes. Edibles (gummies, capsules): 60–120 minutes — slower because it passes through digestion. Topicals: 5–15 minutes for localised effects. Vapes: 2–10 minutes (fastest onset, shortest duration).

CBD can interact with blood-thinners (warfarin), some anti-seizure meds, and immunosuppressants — it shares the liver pathway (CYP450) with many common drugs. If you are on chronic medication, check with your doctor before starting.

SAHPRA and the WHO advise against CBD use during pregnancy and breastfeeding — there is not enough safety research. Skip CBD entirely until your healthcare provider explicitly confirms otherwise.

The WHO classifies CBD as "well tolerated" with no recorded fatal overdose. Side effects — typically drowsiness, dry mouth, mild GI discomfort — start appearing above 300mg per day. Most users never go near that.

If the reviewing practitioner declines a Rx item, you receive a full refund for that item within 5 business days. Non-Rx items in the same order are still dispatched normally.

Unopened non-prescription items can be returned within 7 days of delivery. Prescription items, once dispensed, are non-returnable for health and safety reasons — unless defective or incorrectly dispensed.

Email orders@cannabuben.co.za with your order number within 7 days. Refunds hit the original payment method within 5 business days. PayJustNow refunds cancel the remaining installments automatically.

Easiest: drop the oil directly onto their food (small meal works best for absorption). Sublingual works in theory but most dogs spit it out. CBD-infused treats are convenient but harder to dose-control precisely.

Increasingly yes — many SA vets are now familiar with pet-CBD. Bring our Certificate of Analysis (COA) to your appointment if your vet wants to verify what is in the bottle. Some vets actively recommend specific brands; we are open to those conversations.

Email privacy@cannabuben.co.za with your account email. We delete personal data within 30 days. Order history is anonymised but retained for SARS (tax) and SAHPRA (medical) compliance — both require 5-year retention.
