Phenotype
The observable traits an individual plant expresses from its genetics.
02 / Definition
What is Phenotype?
A phenotype is the set of physical and chemical characteristics an individual cannabis plant actually displays, shaped by both its genetics and its growing environment. Two plants from the same strain can produce different phenotypes, differing in colour, structure, aroma or cannabinoid levels. Growers “pheno-hunt” to select and clone the phenotypes that best match the qualities they want.
