Trichome
The tiny resin glands on cannabis flower that hold cannabinoids and terpenes.
02 / Definition
What is Trichome?
Trichomes are the microscopic, often frosty-looking resin glands that cover cannabis flowers and nearby leaves. They are where the plant produces and stores most of its cannabinoids, such as THC and CBD, along with aromatic terpenes. Growers watch trichome colour, from clear to milky to amber, as a signal of when to harvest.
