THC

THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol) is the best-known cannabinoid in cannabis and the compound responsible for its psychoactive, intoxicating effects. It forms when the raw acid THCA is heated (decarboxylation) through smoking, vaping or cooking. In South Africa, THC-rich products fall outside the low-THC allowances that apply to certain CBD items, so their legal status differs.
