Club Membership Terms
Cannabuben Club — Terms & Conditions
Effective 22 May 2026
Draft — pending legal review
This document is a working template based on standard South African consumer-retail and Section 21 cannabis-supply practice. It will be reviewed and signed off by a POPIA- and consumer-law-qualified attorney before public launch.
About the membership
Cannabuben is a members-only private club. In order to visit the Club premises (where applicable) or request products online via cannabuben.co.za, you must first register to become a member.
Once your membership has been approved, you may request products as a member. Your membership fee is a fixed periodic fee for your chosen tier — it is not calculated by reference to the quantity of products you request.
All registrations are screened by management and are subject to an approval process before membership is granted.
Membership terms
By registering to apply for membership you agree to abide by these full terms and conditions of service as well as the Constitution of the Cannabuben Club:
- Applications are scrutinised by the Director for compliance prior to acceptance.
- Details of the new Club Member in their private capacity are specified in the registration form.
- The Club Member agrees to participate in the Cannabuben Club for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of this agreement with a Membership Package. By completing this registration process digitally, the Member accepts that the terms and conditions of membership of the Club set out on this page together with the provisions of the Club’s Constitution are binding upon them — in particular an acceptance that the Cannabuben Club constitutes a private physical space and a private digital domain.
- The basic membership fee is R49 per month (Bronze tier) and applies on a thirty (30) days rolling window. You do not have to maintain your membership every month. If membership has expired, the Member must pay the membership fee to renew membership before they may visit the Club or share products and gifts.
- The Club Member accepts full responsibility for use of any gifts, allocations or services they have earned or obtained through the Club, and indemnifies the Club.
Fees
The Club Member pays a fixed membership fee at their chosen tier every thirty (30) days. If the membership has expired or been terminated, the Club Member must pay the renewal fee to reactivate.
Tier-aware perks (Silver: 5% allocation discount; Gold: 10% allocation discount, free Cape Town – nationwide shipping, doctor-consult discount on Docto24 referrals, early access) are documented in the Member Tier Schedule and may be updated by the Director from time to time.
What members receive
The Club Member will enjoy:
- Information, gifts, social meetings and gatherings;
- Access to all Club areas;
- Access to the Club’s online content and facilities;
- Wellness advice through consultation and dispensing of Schedule-0 CBD products to the Club Member; and, by referral, the Section-21 medical cannabis pathway via the Club’s clinical partner Docto24.
Age & capacity
By completing the registration form digitally, the Club Member declares that he or she is over the age of 18 years and agrees to all of the terms and conditions of membership.
Responsible use & member conduct
Members undertake to use and store any products privately, in compliance with the Cannabis for Private Purposes Act, 2024 — never in public, never in the presence of children or non-consenting adults, and never re-shared or transferred to a non-member. The full conduct undertakings are set out in the Club Constitution.
Compliance & standards
The Club designates a Compliance Officer, keeps confidential member and internal records under POPIA, supplies products in discreet child-safe labelled packaging, does not advertise cannabis to the public or supply minors, and intends to align its operations with the South African Cannabis Clubs Alliance (SACCA) Code of Compliance. See the Club Constitution and the Information & Compliance Officer page.
