Cannabis delivery in South Africa — who ships and how fast
A factual look at how eight South African cannabis shops handle delivery — who ships nationwide, who is city-only, and how long it actually takes. Drawn from each shop’s own site, verified May 2026.
If you’re trying to figure out who actually delivers cannabis or CBD to your address in South Africa, the answer depends a lot on which shop — and which city. A few ship nationwide on standard courier; a few are city-only with same-day windows; one is purely a walk-in store. This is a factual walk-through of eight active SA shops, alphabetically, with the delivery details each shop publishes on its own site.
Method. Every claim below is sourced from the shop’s own public website or a published interview. Verified May 2026 — offerings change, so check the live site before ordering. No ranking and no “best” here; the right choice depends on where you live, what you want, and how soon you need it.
How cannabis delivery actually works in SA
Outside of SAHPRA Section-21 medical-cannabis dispensing (which is pharmacy-to-patient by licensed couriers), nearly every SA cannabis shop uses one of two delivery rails: a standard nationwide courier (typically same network of Aramex / Courier Guy / Fastway, 1–3 working days depending on the city), or a city-local same-day fleet (10–30 km radius around physical stores, often 60–120 minute windows). Some shops run both. None deliver to a PO Box; every shop expects a street address.

Nationwide standard courier; 1–2 working days for most metros (Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban), 2–3 days for smaller cities and outlying routes. Section-21 medical product dispenses from a Section-22C licensed pharmacy partner. See the city-by-city delivery page.

Shopping by city
For city-specific delivery information — Cape Town neighbourhood coverage, Johannesburg vs East Rand, Pretoria– Tshwane Metro, Durban + KZN coast — see Cannabuben’s locations index. Most shops on this list use overlapping courier networks, so the time-to-door for a given address is broadly similar across them; what differs is the starting city of the warehouse, hand-off cut-off times, and whether they offer a same-day local-fleet option in addition to courier.
A note on legal frames
Delivery itself is not the legal-status question — what is being delivered is. Schedule-0 CBD (Gazette 43347) is the cleanest frame; SAHPRA Section-21 medical cannabis is the lawful pathway for THC-bearing therapeutic product (prescription + permit + licensed-pharmacy dispense). For everything in between — adult-use THC under members’-club framing — SA does not yet have a formal commercial market and the shops on this list operate in an area that is not yet regulated. Verify each shop’s published legal stance before you order. See our round-up for the legal-model framing of each.
